Rope access window and façade washing
RH Rope Access provides window, façade and exterior washing for buildings where access from the ground or a platform is difficult. Based near Sheffield, we support commercial buildings, residential blocks, industrial premises and construction sites across the UK.
We assess the building, surfaces and work area before agreeing the access and washing method.
Read our rope access vs scaffolding guide to understand how access time, safety and disruption are assessed.
Window, frame and façade washing
Tell us which surfaces need attention: glass, frames, cladding or other façade materials. These may need different methods and should be clearly included in the scope.
We consider surface condition, access, water arrangements and protection of the surrounding area. The proposed method should be suitable for the material and any relevant manufacturer guidance.
Builders’ and post-construction washes
Construction residue may require a different approach from routine window washing. Photos and a site visit can help establish what is present and which surfaces are affected.
For a clear quote, identify whether glass, frames and façade panels are included, and explain any known residue or damage. We agree the scope before starting; a wash should not be presented as a repair for existing surface damage.

One-off and planned maintenance
Whether you need a single wash or want to discuss planned upkeep, send the building location, photos, approximate quantities and your preferred dates.
Site access, roof arrangements, water availability, pedestrian routes and occupied areas below all affect how the work is planned. Any need to coordinate with tenants or other trades should be raised at the enquiry stage.
What affects the quote?
The area and number of surfaces, type of residue, access arrangements, surface condition, site restrictions and agreed finish all affect the scope. We will discuss these details so the quote reflects the work required.
Work is planned with IRATA-certified technicians, site-specific RAMS and rescue arrangements.
